SAACI

The Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of efficiency and professionalism for the conference and events industry in southern Africa. The southern African conference industry is recognised around the world as a dynamic growth area.
The Conference Company is a member of SAACI, and accredited as an International Professional Conference Organiser by Grant Thornton, Kessel, Feinstein. CEO, Nina Freysen-Pretorius is Chair of the National SAACI Board and serves on the the KwaZulu-Natal Branch. 

KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority

The KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority is responsible for the development, promotion and marketing of tourism within KwaZulu-Natal and marketing the region domestically and internationally.
 
In December 2008 Nina Freysen-Pretorius was invited to serve on the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Board and is the current Chair for the Marketing Subcommittee.

ICCA

The Conference Company is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which is one of the most prominent organizations in the world of international meetings.
 
Its members comprise the most experienced practitioners and most knowledgeable experts on the international meetings industry worldwide.
 
Based in Amsterdam with offices in Malaysia, U.S.A. and Uruguay, it is the only association which has a membership representing the main specialists in the association conferencing industry. These specialists include, inter alia, conference management companies, transport, accommodation establishments, convention bureaus – and its membership of 850 organisations in over 80 countries establishes it as the most global organization in the meetings industry. It is this network that enables the ICCA members to interact with previous host countries of an association meeting to exchange intelligence with regard to the successful management/running of a meeting.
 
All of its members have to meet certain membership criteria and should have a strategic commitment to provide top quality products and services. Association Meetings Hosts can rely on the ICCA member to provide solutions to all of their event objectives such as technical advice; delegate transportation; full convention planning, etc.
 
In November 2008, Nina was appointed to the ICCA Board as the Africa/Middle East Chapter Representative, and was appointed as the Chair of the ICCA Africa Chapter.
Nina has since been asked to sit on the ICCA MFC (Management Finance Committee).

Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry
